EGF (epidermal growth factors): The Fountain of Youth!
We believe that it’s important to understand how ingredients work on the deeper level and the exact impact they have on your skin as we believe knowledge is power!
This is why we use this powerhouse ingredient to improve wrinkles on the cellular level in our products as your skin slows down its repair and regeneration process once you hit 30,
If your skincare product has EGF, it can prevent and reduce scarring and create a supple, youthful appearance.
Everything we want in a skincare product.
What is EGF?
Growth factors are signals that tell your skin cells to behave like young, healthy cells. When it comes to cosmetic use, they are most appropriate for people with ageing skin because they can target various issues such as wrinkles and crepy-ness.
EGF stands for epidermal growth factor, which like collagen is a protein that naturally occurs in our skin. Its main purpose is to heal our skin by promoting DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. Once it binds to its receptor, on the surface of the cell, the combination of the two kickstarts several signalling pathways that ultimately lead to results.
In layman’s terms, it’s a component that helps skin regeneration and repair. It also boosts the complexion’s resiliency and collagen production.
What are the skin benefits of EGF?
EGF has many benefits for your skin, including the reduction of wrinkles, hydration, reduction of under eye bags and pigmentation prevention, it is also extremely healing so great for rosacea and sensitive skin. EGF when combined with skin needling is the ultimate in anti ageing as the needling opens the channels for the EGF serum to penetrate deeper. That’s why we have created the Cellular gold micro infusion treatment because the EGF and needles are combined with tiny little holes helping the serum infuse at the same time as the needling. The process by which EGF encourages cell growth also stimulates fibroblasts, that improve skin elasticity such as collagen and elastin.
EGF repairs skin by stimulating the growth of new skin cells, it also enhances skin barrier. This allows skin to hold on to moisture better, so your skin becomes smoother and softer. Lastly, it inhibits melanin production during the wound healing process, so it improves acne marks and other forms of hyperpigmentation. EGF (epidermal growth factors) are a key ingredient in anti ageing.
